The language of the people, (oyate.)..it is not only how they communicate but how they keep their traditions alive. In order to truly understand the people, must one understand the language, and in order to fully understand the language must one understand the importance of stories, and the passing down of oral storytelling.....for the language is oral...it was never written down. For the true people behind the RP group, the Lakota Sioux, until this last century. So then...we are lucky...so when a gift comes, we should care for it. See here the starter dictionary and a bit of fast facts on the real people behind the language.
